OPSEU LOCAL 331: REPRESENTING THE INTEREST'S OF OVER 900 MEMBERS

Membership Meeting October 23, 2014

It’s time once again to elect your OPSEU Local. Local elections are the foundation of OPSEU democracy. These elections choose leaders – leaders who represent their co-workers in the workplace, plan local activities, and manage local funds.

Nomination forms are available from the Union Office and must be returned to our office by October 17, 2014 . This will allow a few days for election lists to be finalized for the membership meeting. If mailing, please address your envelopes to the attention of Local 331 Secretary.

There are 5 Executive Positions up for election:

●President, Vice-President, Chief Steward, Treasurer, and Secretary;

●2 Trustee positions; (Trustees cannot hold any other position within our Local or any other Local)

●Multiple steward positions

Please submit a form for each position you wish to be elected to.

Each Steward must have two nominators listed on the form. Candidates for President, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, and chief steward must first be an elected steward.

Stewards will be confirmed at the October 23 Meeting. Executive nominees will then be nominated. ~~Any acclimations will occur at this meeting for all positions. Should an election be necessary, this will follow in two weeks time.~~ All nominations and elections will be concluded at this meeting.
