Bargaining Update Date:
December 15, 2017 Over
the past nine months, Ontario Shores and OPSEU Local 331 have been engaged in
the bargaining process. Yesterday
we spent time in mediation/arbitration. While progress was made, the parties
weren’t able to reach an agreement. The arbitrator will now issue an
award to finalize the agreement and we expect to receive an award from the
arbitrator over the next week. Details
of the award and the implementation process for the new collective agreement
will be shared at that time. We
would like to thank both bargaining teams for their time and commitment
throughout the bargaining process. We
will continue our work together to create a safe and healthy work environment
for everyone at Ontario Shores.
