We
are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Fred Upshaw, former President of
OPSEU Local 331 and former President of OPSEU. Many of us had the privilege of
working along side Fred in the nursing profession , and as activists within our
local and the community joining him at many union events. Fred was always a
strong leader motivated by his passion to advocate for human rights and the
equity of others and the rights of the working class. Our deepest sympathies go
