Concerns of Workplace Violence

Your Local representatives met with the SMT and the Administrative Directors last week to bring forward the increasing concerns of safety arising from recent incidents of Workplace Violence. Various issues raised by the membership were brought forward to the Employer. The Employer committed to work with the parties to develop effective solutions

MOL also visited the workplace after receiving complaints on workplace violence. The field visit report is posted on the main Health & Safety Board in Bldg4, Level1.

In the meantime, your Local Executives continue to encourage the membership to raise any safety concerns to their manager. Please contact the Union Office or the JHSC for further assistance if needed.

We need to keep everyone safe by working together.

Remember work shouldn't hurt.
